At a time when I was trying to figure things out, I found inspiration riding the bus in Los Angeles.

For the vast majority of my life, the bus was my primary mode of transportation. Occasionally it would be empty for a few stops and I could catch a rare moment of peace. The city itself was projected on the interior, infinite reflections from every imaginable angle distilled into light and form as the bus progressed along the route. Light from outside was filtered through clouded, graffiti inscribed windows creating an endless array of compositions that disappeared as quickly as they became visible. Everyday my commute gave me a few minutes to contemplate the hidden beauty of my own journey. At the time I had no idea why I took so many of these pictures but I realize now they illuminated the path forward.
